WALKABOUT INTERNATIONAL — This is a walking group in San Diego, with whom we used to be affiliated. If you want any information about their free walks in the San Diego area or any of their other activities, either call Morris at (818) 349-4656 or call the Walkabout Office at (619) 231-7463. The office hours are 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday. The office address is 4639 30th Street, San Diego, CA 92116. You may get one free issue of the Walkabout newsletter by calling them or writing to them. You can also visit their Web site by clicking on their name above, to see a list of their walks for the current month.

The Los Angeles Conservancy conducts walks every Saturday morning in the downtown area. Check 'Walking Tours' on their Web site for costs and details.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy holds free monthly Nature Walks. Check their Web site for details.

The Sierra Club Angeles Chapter has many free hikes (and some city walks.) Their Web site lets you search for activities by date or other criteria.

The Amercian Volkssport Association organizes more than 3000 walking events per year in all 50 states, as well as occasional bikes, skis, and swims. All events are open to the public - come walk with us!

The Coastwalk organization conducts mostly camping trips along the California coast line.
